The goal of the class is to provide a solid introduction to both the theory of free-market versus cartelized central banking and the day-to-day mechanics of the Federal Reserve in action.

Instructor

Robert P. Murphy is an Associated Scholar with the Mises Institute and a Research Assistant Professor with the Free Market Institute at Texas Tech University. He is the author of many books including Lessons for the Young Economist (2011) which is an introduction to economics for the young reader, and Choice: Cooperation, Enterprise, and Human Action (Independent Institute, 2015) which is a modern distillation of the essentials of Mises’s thought for the layperson. Murphy is host of the Human Action Podcast.
